Chief's Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. The Town of Sandwich has over the years consistently become one of the most desirable places to live in New Hampshire. Approximately one hour north of Concord, nestled between the Lakes and White Mountains regions of New Hampshire, many proclaim that Sandwich is one of the most beautiful and historic places in New England.

Sandwich is a safe community, and a very desirable place to visit or live. This is a direct result of the continuing involvement that men, women and children in our community have with the town, and the Police Department's commitment to providing our citizens with increasing value in services and improvements. We are constantly looking for new ways and improving upon the old ones to make our community a safe one, and help improve the quality-of-life for Sandwich citizens, businesses and tourists. You can be assured that your Police Department will be aggressive towards any crime, big or small.

Sandwich Police Department (SPD) is a well-equipped, well-trained unit serving the community of Sandwich. SPD maintains relationships with other town departments, surrounding area town’s police departments, Carroll County Sheriff's Office, NH State Police, Troop - E and other state and local emergency service departments.

If you are interested in visiting us or are looking to relocate here, I encourage you to explore this website or stop by our offices for a quick hello. We keep our community informed of updates and the day-to-day goings on in town through several social media outlets (Facebook, Nixle Connect and the Sandwichboard).

Always remember that YOU are also part of our department. We urge you to report any suspicious activities or persons to the Department immediately. Along with your neighbors, we thank you for your continued support and assistance.

Remember in an emergency to always call 911. For immediate service please contact our dispatch center by calling (603) 284-7777. Your call will be answered by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
