       Red Mountain Lodge #68 F A.M.; Carol A. Wyman Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors of the communities of Sandwich and Moultonborough. The award(s) will go to that student who has not only an excellent academic record, but has also recognized the importance of service to others. Students applying for this scholarship must have declared a major at an accredited college or university in a “service degree” examples of this would be but not limited to:  any education degree program, human services/ Social work, criminal justice, fire science, paramedicine, nursing, counseling/ psychology, and divinity. Students will be required to write and submit a minimum of 1000 word essay that demonstrates their financial need, there current academic status, outlines their service to their community, and their career plan upon graduation. Preference will be given to those who have a parent or grandparent who are currently active Freemasons and/or Order of the Eastern Star. Scholarship submissions are to be received by May 22, 2023. The student awarded the scholarship will be notified in June. The scholarship will be dispersed in the second semester of the Freshman year, provided the awardee has achieved a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Doris L. Benz Community Center

 When you need a place to meet... the Benz Center is here for you!

Located at 18 Heard Road in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire, the Benz Center is a Community Center for all ages, and is available for a variety of events and activities from private parties to exercise classes.

Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc.

Interlakes Community Caregivers provide assistance to any Sandwich resident in need. Interlakes Community Caregivers is a volunteer organization consisting of friends helping friends and neighbors helping neighbors. Interlakes Community caregivers services are free of charge. Local area transportation is provided for needs such as: Doctor or dentist appointments, laboratory tests, pharmacy pickups, shopping, hair appointments, and transportation to extended areas for medical appointments when possible. All transportation is provided by volunteers in their personal vehicles. 

Sandwich Children's Center

Founded in 1985, Sandwich Children's Center is a non-profit early learning center.  We serve working families and others with programs for infants and toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children (up to age 12) after school.  "Emergent curriculum" is our teaching philosophy and we're in the heart of town at 54 Maple Street.  Check us out online at www.sandwichchildrenscenter.org

This program provides split wood to those in need, typically in half-cord increments.  Contact Mark Longley at 284-6294.

 Licenses and Permits

Boating Safety Courses, Exams must be completed before you operate a watercraft. Boat New Hampshire or NH Fish and Game.

NH Driver Licensing and Renewals are available at the DMV office in Tamworth. Non-citizens must receive their first NH issued license from DMV in Concord.

Television Access

The Town of Sandwich does not have a cable television provider. Television access is available through Satellite services from Dish NetworkDirecTV or some smaller satellite television service providers.

Telephone & Communications Access

Consolidated Communications provides telephone and DSL service to the local Sandwich area.  

Electric Utilities

Both New Hampshire Electric Cooperative and Public Service of NH provide electricity and service to the Sandwich area.

Meals on Wheels: 

Hot meals delivered to your door Monday through Thursday. Frozen meals available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Milk is delivered on Tuesday. 

Congregate Meals: 

Monday through Thursday at the Lions Club at Noon. 

Wednesday only Doris Benz Community Center, Sandwich at Noon 

There is no charge for nutritional services for those 60 y.o. and older. There is a suggested donation of 2.00 per person. Those under 60 y.o. are asked to pay 6.00 per person, per meal. Checks are payable to Ossipee Concerned Citizens.
